David Parker, Senior Advisor
Mr. Parker is a seasoned veteran of both the public and private sectors working and living in over 30 countries across four continents. He ran security for several First Data facilities in the mid-Atlantic region and now works as an independent security consultant. David's work, primarily for international NGOs and other charitable and aid organizations, focuses on developing and implementing security best practices and protocols at field locations, developing and conducting refugee screening programs, leading hostile environment awareness and leadership training, and undertaking security assessments, evaluations, and operations. He began his career serving at several American embassies in the Middle East in a variety of capacities and before moving into financial services at Merrill Lynch in the United Kingdom, Citibank in Switzerland, and General Electric in the United States. David then worked in the clean energy sector developing clean coal and gas projects in the United States and in Poland. He holds a BA in government from Dartmouth College and an MS in finance from the London Business School. David speaks Arabic, French, German, and his native English, and lives in the greater Washington, DC area.
